Ahhh the lake...

Here are a few pictures from our recent boat outing. My aunt and uncle took us out in their new boat last weekend. We had a such a good time. Maddy was a little nervous at first, but loved it by the end of the day. And Preston wasn't phased one bit...he just relaxed under the sun shade.

One year.

It's amazing how long and how short that seems right now. August 24th marked the one year anniversary of my mom's passing. She passed away after a 3 year struggle with ovarian cancer. My mom was such an amazing woman and I just hope she knows how influential she was in my life and what a deep respect I have for her. I miss her so much. She had so many things left to see and do. She didn't get to meet my son Preston, now 5 months old, nor will she meet our next child. She won't get to see my brother married (and to the most AMAZING woman). And what's worse...we won't get to share these important events with her. Luckily her memory will remain in the many people who love her.

Preston's getting stronger everyday. He's pushing his chest off the floor, but hasn't figured out crawling yet. He's also doing very well with sitting up. And Maddy still adores her little brother. She's even requesting a little sister for Preston...yikes! She's gonna have to wait on that one!
